Hi, I have a custumer with Office 2010 and when he hit "Send/Receive" outlook hangs "offline address book connecting to Microsoft Exchange"... I found similar problem and instruct to rebuild OAB, but the commands doesn´t work because in my case it´s SBS2008... Hi, Have u configured OWA Redirect? This will cause a redirect on all Virtual Directories including the OAB. Have a look into this:http://www.confusedamused.com/notebook/oab-never-downloads-for-outlook-2007-clients-with-exchange-2007-on-server-2008/ See if your OAB folder on CAS server has web.config file. If it exists then add Authenticated Users / Read to Web.config file and then check. Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

I havent found WEB.CONFIG file at OAB folder and I was able to download/read oab.xml (https://mail.xxxx.com.br/OAB/c16f5e63-f0a2-4327-b80d-740444d8330c/oab.xml) after input network credentials! Interesting question is that I found C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT\EXCHANGE SERVER\CLIENT ACCESS\AUTODISCOVER\WEB.CONFIG file!!! This file already has NTFS permissions to AUTHENTICATED USERS 'read' and 'read and execute'... But i´m NOT able to access http://domaind The link that you provide tell something that I don´t understand: "The fix is pretty easy. Open the web.config in the OAB folder, and give Authenticated Users both the read and read and execute permissions." I need change some line/content ???? Bellow is 'slice' of my web.config file... <authentication mode="Windows"/> <!-- AUTHORIZATION This section sets the authorization policies of the application. You can allow or deny access to application resources by user or role. Wildcards: "*" mean everyone, "?" means anonymous (unauthenticated) users. --> <authorization> <allow users="*"/> <!-- Allow all users --> <!-- <allow users="[comma separated list of users]" roles="[comma separated list of roles]"/> <deny users="[comma separated list of users]" roles="[comma separated list of roles]"/> --> </authorization>

No u dont need to change the contents of the web.config file. The author meant to "right click the web.config file and then go to security" and add permission for Authenticated users. The absence of web.config in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Client Access\OAB" folder might mean that u have not set redirection on Default Web Site, but still i wud suggest to check u have not set redirection on OAB/AutoDiscovery Virtual Directories.
